The award winning Cabaret Voltaire is a triple-roomed music venue in the heart of Edinburgh, housed in the historical subterranean vaults that underpin the Old Town. Open seven nights a week, The Cabaret Voltaire is a live music and club venue, playing host to internationally known names as well as supporting the local music scene. The club's late night roster is full of household (as well as more underground) DJs and producers, and renowned as a hangout for those in town.

The world famous Cabaret Voltaire gig stage has played host to the likes of Florence & The Machine, Hot Chip, Four Tet, Adele, Mumford & Sons, Battles, and Calvin Harris - to name but an illustrious few (the list goes on and on) - and all in their early days, cementing the club's reputation for Breaking Boundaries in Music.

In December 2011, Red Bull teamed up with London-based designer Anthony Dickens to bring a whole new lease of life to the moody, underground caverns of the Cabaret Voltaire to create a massive lighting installation, taking over the entire main room. The lighting installation is at the cutting edge of club production and brings a whole new dimension to the club's experience.

Above the caverns of the club's dark underbelly lies a hidden gem - The Speakeasy. If the Cabaret Voltaire is the rebellious, moody teenager, The Speakeasy is her well-heeled, better behaved sister. With sunken booths and polished surfaces and a cocktail menu to die for, The Speakeasy is a perfect, if fleeting, retreat from the antics unfolding downstairs.
