Alex Cornish’s debut album ‘Until The Traffic Stops’ - written, played, sung and produced in his Edinburgh bedroom by the self-confessed "complete fucking control freak" – has provoked the kind of tips and plays that any major-label release would beg for. Sessions for Radio 2 (Dermot O’Leary), 6 Music, XFM Scotland, a song played over the end credits of a Hollywood film and The Sunday Times' "hottest download of the week" – this is a special record, made all the more remarkable for it’s DIY beginnings. Now, encouraged by the reaction to the album’s initial low-key release, and with a team of like-minded music industry supporters on-board, ‘Until The Traffic Stops’ is to be re-released, with the title track out as a single on September 29th. To support the single release Alex will be touring the UK and heading back home to Cab Voltaire with his band on the 12th September. In the words of the great songwriter, Tom Robinson : "This is Alex Cornish - and it's absolute quality". Get your tickets whilst you can...
